Leading-edge dental care for older adults

“We’ve done a tremendous amount of research to determine the best way to build a geriatric dental centre that will meet the needs of patients today and well into the future.  Giving back to the community is at the heart of everything we do at Alpha Omega. Supporting Baycrest is a natural fit for our organization.”

-Dr. Steven Millman, president of the Alpha Omega Toronto Chapter

Thanks to the Alpha Omega fraternity, which raised $1 million, the new Alpha Omega Dental Centre at Baycrest will provide comprehensive services tailored to older adults, including those who are cognitively impaired, medically complex, frail or physically disabled. The clinic will have four large private operatories, two wheelchair lifts, a lab, diagnostic imaging room and stretcher access. It will be able to treat close to 1,500 patients each year.

The state-of-the-art centre for evidence-based geriatric dentistry will be a leading training centre affiliated with the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry.
